This picture somehow expresses an exuberance of life. It had to be metered carefully to capture the full whiteness of the petals without blowing them out. That had the added advantage of rendering the background very dark, which helps to simplify the image. If you have the opportunity to go, I highly recommend viewing all the beautiful lilies at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in Washington, D. C.
